Volunteer Information

All volunteers are required to submit a background check application each year; all volunteer records are considered inactive on June 30 of each year. All volunteers must reapply with the district on or after July 1 of each year to be considered for volunteer opportunities for each upcoming school year. If you applied last school year you will "Edit" your application on file using the email and password you set up your account with originally.

Please note that to submit a volunteer application, you will have to use the district's potential employment service. As a result, you will see "Employment Application;" in this form, simply select "Volunteer" under "Vacancy Desired" (this screen occurs before the "Position Desired" screen).

As a result of the large number of applicants, we will not notify you of your volunteer status. To receive your status, check with your school office for this information before you volunteer. Please wait 10-15 business days for your application to be processed to determine your status after applying.

Have you worked volunteer hours without being logged in as a volunteer in Raptor (the school's system that prints our your badge)? Ex. room parents sending emails or planning parties, volunteers at, or planning after school events, PTA meetings, etc. Record your hours here!

Welcome to the Denton Independent School District. We sincerely appreciate the investment of your time as a volunteer. To begin volunteering at any district school, however, you must first complete a volunteer application.

Denton ISD seeks to create a safe place for students that is free from crime, violence, drugs and abuse at all times. Pursuant to the Texas Education Code, Denton ISD conducts screenings for any record of criminal activity by prospective volunteers. To keep our students safe, Denton ISD obtains criminal history records of all prospective volunteers who will be working with students. Examples of volunteer situations include – but are not limited to – camp counseling, mentoring, tutoring, chaperoning field trips, serving as a sponsor for an overnight trip, having access to student information and working on a regular basis with students.

Approved volunteers can get on our volunteer email list, by reaching out to providencevolunteerinfo@yahoo.com, or filling out the form below:
